Privacy Policy
Draft, last updated October 29, 2026. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how TakeBackAI works today.
What we collect
Your name, email, and if you add them your phone and address; what you tell us about each problem; files you upload; and everything that happens on a case: emails, calls (recorded, with the recording announced), chats, letters and the company's answers.
How we use it
Only to work on your cases and run your account: to contact the company you named, to show you what happened, and to keep the service safe. We use AI models to read and write messages for your case; we don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who sees it
The company you asked us to contact sees what we send them. Our service providers process it for us: the AI model provider, email, phone and text providers, the print and mail service, and payments (we never see your full card number). People on the TakeBackAI team see a case only when needed, and every view is logged.
Texts and notifications
We only text you if you turn it on and agree. Reply STOP to stop. Push notifications carry no case details.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Account numbers, PINs and other details you give for a case | Encrypted; wiped 30 days after the case closes |
| Call recordings | Encrypted; deleted 90 days after the case closes (the transcript stays with the case) |
| Bills, screenshots and other files | Encrypted; deleted a year after the case closes |
| The case itself (chat, emails, timeline) | Deleted 3 years after it closes, or when you delete your account |
| Payment records | Kept as tax law requires, even after you delete your account (without the case) |
| Records of who looked at your case | Kept for security |
Your rights
You can download everything we hold about you, correct your details, and delete your account, in Account, Your data. Residents of some states (such as California) have these rights by law; we give them to everyone.
